I can really tell that you're strongly influenced by Dilla, even in your other beats. I loved the way you flipped this sample. The vocal samples were amazing. I could totally chill to this. Awesome beat.

Sirhc7000 responds:

ha yes I am HUGELY influenced by Dilla for sure. And I agree that the sample is equally amazing. Props to the soul brothas of the 70s lol.

Thx for the review!

Need to practice

Need to rap a little louder. I don't know if you just have a bad mic, or if you're just being too quiet, but I can't hear anything you're saying. It sounds as though you're rapping in your bedroom and trying to prevent your parents from hearing. Get a better mic, then practice practice practice. Contrary to popular opinion, rapping isn't easy. I know, because I've tried and failed. Keep trying.

Kinda reminds me of the jazz that used to play in the coffee shop at the bookstore I used to go to a lot. I love that bassline a lot too. The sample was beautiful. I'm going to have to check out all your other stuff now.

Nice remix. I like the synths you used here. If you don't have a problem with it, I'm going to try sampling this into a beat.

My favorite parts are the choir samples. Really adds a "scare the shit of you" feel to this track. I love it.

I love the synths and melodies used here. This should be in a pirate movie or something.

DCMB responds:

Thanks! :D The track was supposed to be somewhat pirate related.
Thanks for the review!

This is good beyond words. Every single sample was made your own, to the point that it's hard to believe it was sampled at all. Awesome work, especially with the bass, in my opinion, simply because what was sampled was originally not a bass to begin with. Awesome work with this beat. I love your style.

GunstarGreene responds:

Thank you dude.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this yet. I loved the brass in it. And as usual, the bass was completely amazing. Your use of scratches once again was a perfect addition to an already nearly-perfect song. Awesome work.

SHADOWFOX2 responds:

Ah a familiar name, long time no see!
I kept trying to think about where in this track I put brass in; I had forgotten I put a sax in
You liked the scratches too hmm?
I'm still trying to get better with using those
I've got a nightmare about them all sounding the same
Thanks for another review!

I love the bassline in this. The extra effects were also a nice touch. Awesome work.

Really good lyrics. Nice flow. Everything came together nicely in this track. I agree with this, commercial hip hop has really screwed everybody's impression of the genre. Even mine, for the longest time. I hated hip hop, until I started finding stuff like this, and now I know what I've been missing. Thank you for inspiring me.

NormSaxYT responds:

Thank you very much for your review. Hip hop is a way of life and not just a means to an end. Live it, love it.

Hey. Check my music. Review me and I review you. Fair trade? I think so.
