asdfghjkl;

not a fan of mainstream-sounding/dirty south hip hop, but i love that melody that comes in at :12. that sounded really good. since it was only a preview, as therefore really short, i can't really give any more useful feedback, but nice work.

Greeksta-69 responds:

oh yeah the whistle sound i added a phaser on it and it sounded sick

from what i've listened of your beats so far, i think this one is my favorite by you. i love the carnival feel you have going on with it. good job. 10/10, 5/5.

BlowinMoneyENT responds:

Lol, i had just got back from the carnival and i was all drunk when i made this. :]

not bad..

a little too mainstream-sounding for my taste, but i really liked the bass. i like the inclusion of the "i'm the boss" vocal sample, although i probably would have liked it a little better if it had been pitched up just a little. too deep of a voice for my taste. just a couple quick tweaks and this would have been perfect. great job nonetheless.
PS. my dislike for mainstream sounds isn't going to affect my rating. so you get 9/10 and 5/5.

BlowinMoneyENT responds:

Thanks man, i made this i reely long time ago and would go back on it if i had my old computer. i deferentially would have made it better as much as possible. thanks for the revirew.

love it

i love the sound. the melody was amazing. i personally thought the bass was up a little too high. i'd turn the volume on it down slightly. it threatened to drown everything else out at times. other than that, i'm loving it.

BlowinMoneyENT responds:

thanks bro, worked hard on it... love the feeback!

Blowin Money!

so chill...

very chill, very beautiful. as the reviewer below me said, the samples were definitely used to their fullest. great work on this one. do you use any specific software for your beats, or are you using turntables? just curious.

DJ-Delinquent responds:

FL Studio

i pretty much stopped using turntables now

awesome...

...despite my usual dislike for dubstep. you definitely brought out the horror aspects of it really well. good work. 5/5.

YouriX responds:

Yes i cant blame you i dont like dubstep that much either. But this is a DrumStep beat wich is pretty awesome subgerne of Dubstep. :)

gotta agree with the review below me. i didn't really care for the vocals. but i loved the strings. what VST did you use for them?

8/10, 4/5

YouriX responds:

The strings can be found under Packs > Orchestral > FLS strings

loving it. very fun listen, and great use of vocal samples. love the scratches, i'm totally a sucker for that kinda thing.

was kinda wondering, what program do you use to make music, and does it come with a turntable simulator for scratching, or did you actually hook a turntable up to it? just wondering.

great sound. 10/10, 5/5

SHADOWFOX2 responds:

Haha I'm a sucker for vocals and scratches too
Lately I've been trying to put them in wherever they'd fit!

I'm an FL user, that's FL Studio, or Fruity Loops Studio to be completely formal
It does come with a turntable simulator(!), however I don't use it unless I'm messin' around
There are some plugins like Wave Traveler that'll do something similar, but I've only used that in older music

One of these days I'm gonna actually get a turntable and some neon headphones...
In any case, thanks a bunch for the attention!

mad funky man

this was really beautiful. something i can chill to when i'm feeling lazy(which is always). Funk has always been a style i love. great bass, and i'm loving those bell sounds. i'm currently trying to think of a way to cut this up/sample a bit to make a funky-style hip hop beat(with your permission of course).

anyway, great work. 10/10, 5/5, fav'd, downloaded.

SHADOWFOX2 responds:

Lazy funk bass is the best thing to wake up to with a hint of bells for contrast B]
I greatly appreciate you asking for my permission although for this site you technically don't need it
Go on ahead though; I sorta thought I achieved the funky hip-hop thing already but I know there are many other possibilities.
Thanks for your thoughts!

love it

i like the hip hop/rock fusion quite a bit, and i think you should do some stuff like this more often. one piece of advice i'd give, is rather than using Slayer, you could use a good piano VST and use an amp simulator on it. it still won't compare to a real guitar, but it will be better than Slayer, and if you don't play guitar, then this may be the next best thing.

but there are also some decent guitar VSTs out there. Sorohanro made a VST that comes with multiple different instruments, guitar being one of them. here's a thread he made recently to advertise it. http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1 175105/1

anyway, i loved this song, and hope to hear more like it from you. i'm a huge rock fan, but i also like your hip hop, and rock/hip hop fusion has always been a hit with me. good work.

9/10
5/5
