Great

Makes me wish I could rap...Good work dude, and good luck with the new project.

DJDureagon responds:

You can rap! You gotta believe!

Great

I give it a 10 for the vocal sample. Couldn't hear the bass really well, that's something you might wanna try to bring out more in your mix. Pretty cool drums too. Don't really have much else to say, I'm a little hung over, but seriously dude...I love it. Peace.

haha thanks man! yeah that sample has a kick in teh sample so i filtered it out so you dont hear the kick. anyway thanks for the review man!

Awesome cover

Months on end of having to hear emo teenage girls requesting this song on the radio have kinda ruined this song for me. Nevertheless, I really like your spin on it. The drums sounded very realistic, did you play the drums yourself, or is that MIDI? Guitars were awesome sounding, very energetic. This is just begging for some vocals. Great work dude!

Perfect

Drums: 5/5-Typical Rama drumming style. No complaints here.

Bass: 5/5-While I generally prefer a funkier sounding bass, the bass in this complemented the rest of the beat perfectly, and sounded great. Good work on that.

Strings: 5/5-Sad, yet sweet. To me, the strings in this song sound like sadness, intermixed with a bit of hope. Great concept.

You're getting a perfect score from me on this one. Couldn't find a single thing with this beat that I would change. This beat, like your others, reminds me of just strolling down a city street, possibly smoking a cigar. Could even remind me of when I used to bump music like this while skateboarding. Great, solid beat here. Thanks for sharing.

Crueltool responds:

Thanks my friend!!! Keep em listening))

Nice

I love that vocal chop a lot. Cool sounding drum kit too. Loving that jazz sample..Nice work dude.

Great :)

Intro sounded cool, but I'm not sure I really understand what it was meant to be..Until the piano came in, then it sounded freaking awesome. When the brass notes came in, and the beat dropped, the entire track just became *AMAZING*

Brass: 4/5-I love good brass in my music. Trumpets, saxophones, anything, really. This is no exception. Makes it sound like a really good battle beat. Maybe a little note variation would have helped it sound just a *little* better. Nice work on it overall.

Bass: 5/5-I've always loved your bass tone. The funky rhythm of it adds an additional element to it. When combined with the brass, it makes this an awesome instrumental.

Drums/Percussion: 5/5-As always, you've got a solid beat going on. I love the fills you add as well. Very high quality drum samples.

Other Instruments: 5/5-Lot of nice synths and the like in the background, creating an awesome atmosphere for this track. At parts it had a *very* haunting feel to it. I think some of these synths should be used in some of your future submissions, because I'm really liking the sounds.

Overall Score: 9.5/10-Very solid beat here, although your lead instruments could use a little more variation. Keep up the good work dude. I'm trying to be more constructive with my reviews.

Crueltool responds:

Agree with you. Me stopping a personal disappointment. But i will fight with it)))

This is a review

Drums/Percussion: 5/5-I love the rhythm, and the samples are really high quality.

Bass: 5/5-Very jazzy/funky. Great tone, too. This is my favorite type of bass to be used for Hip Hop.

Vocals: 4/5-Very nice use of vocals. They flowed well with the song. The reason I give 4/5 for the vocals is because I don't feel enough vocal samples were used in this song. I think some other vocals during the verses would have been nice, even if it was just some "ooohs" or "ahhhs." You had some of those during the intro, and I could kinda hear them during the verses, but they weren't very audible, to be honest.

Other instruments: 3/5-I loved the brass, and the other varied instruments you used, but again, they were a little low in volume, and sometimes hard to hear above the bass and percussion. I'm very much a melody-oriented person, so it would have been nice to hear more in the melody department.

Overall Score: 8.5/10

Overall, it's a very nice beat. Very chill, puts me in a good mood. I think it would be nice to hear one of NG's rappers put a few verses on it. With just a little tweaking, I think this would be a total masterpiece. Good work dude. Keep it up.

I'm so effin' drunk...

This goes great with my drunken mood. Maybe I'll PM you a more in-depth review when I'm sober. Thanks for sharing this dude. Sounds awesome... :)

Crueltool responds:

Thanks dude!!!

BEAUTIFUL

7 minutes of beauty. I love the piano in the intro, props to EoD on that. The soothing guitar really put me in a good mood. The synths/pads in the background really added to the atmosphere. Drumming was nice, lots of cymbals. Best type of drumming, in my opinion. Thank you very much for sharing this beautiful piece.

Good work!

Sounds good. I agree, the drums need to be turned down a little, maybe add some reverb as well. They sound a little dry to me. Also, the drum rhythm seems a bit chaotic. Might make it a bit difficult for a rapper to put any rhymes on this...just my opinion. I'm loving the ambient sounds though. Vocal samples were awesome. Keep it up dude!

BuggMusic responds:

Never really thought about putting reverb on, I figured it would sound too muddy. I guess I've never really worked around the abilities of a rapper, since I only do instrumentals, I can see how it would be difficult though. Thanks for the review :)

Hey. Check my music. Review me and I review you. Fair trade? I think so.
